Project Coordinator

To support a range of Procurement / Excellence initiatives and provide methodology and standard process, that creates competitive. Operate as collaborative member of the Procurement Operation team, in connection with Procurement Excellence, Shared Service Center and Master Data teams, to drive procurement improvement processes.

 

Working in partnership across Procurement to:

  • Drive process excellence: Defining and leading initiatives to simplify, improve user experience and reduce non-value add activity, across operational Procurement in partnership with Procurement Excellence.
  • Partner with Procurement Excellence and business to evolve the maturity of Procurement practices in line with external benchmarks and business needs.
  • Support and enhance compliance to reduce fraud and risk in procurement operational processes with Procurement Excellence, in alignment with SSC, Governance and MD, whilst make it easier to comply with controls, policies and standards.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement project coordination for Iberia Purchase to Pay and contract lifecycle management (CLM) in the South.
  • Support local initiatives to enhance P2P efficiency in Iberia and France, including SAP parts codification, price maintenance, and master data improvement.
  • Ensure user guides for procurement processes are simple, accessible, and aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with Procurement Excellence to streamline processes, improve user experience, and reduce non-value add activities.
  • Partner with digital and technology teams to optimize procurement technologies and enhance data quality.
  • Align with business and procurement teams to improve transactional purchase-to-pay and supplier master data standards.
  • Define and implement strategies for optimal buying and payment channels, focusing on performance, cost reduction, and compliance.
  • Ensure governance and alignment in category and supplier management processes.
  • Strengthen procurement compliance and reduce risk by enhancing third-party risk management during supplier onboarding.

Qualities/Attributes

  • Project Management: Proven track record of delivery
  • Shared Services Strategy, Design, Transitions and Deployment: Experience in developing roadmaps between Procurement and Shared Services and designing and developing new capabilities. External Procurement experience with outsourced services, consulting or BPO experience desired.
  • Expertise in Procurement and Category Management or related Business Consulting Services: Has previously been in Procurement specialist or category management roles or consulting, before working in functional excellence roles (1-3 years)
  • Leadership: Demonstrates role model behaviour and supports others within team and across organisational boundaries.
  • Story Telling and Influence: Track record influencing and managing stakeholders and driving change across- border teams. Ability to develop compelling business cases and presentations
  • Process improvement: Experience in process or value chain engineering skills (lean, 6 sigma etc); qualifications and certifications are desirable. Expertise in Procurement process design, problem solving and simplification in a large corporate and or multi-national/s
  • Flexible: Adaptive style, when deploy change across a complex organisation.
  • Change Management and Communications: Must have strong capability to embed practices through effective change management and communications methods.

Evidenced

  • Fluent in English, French and Spanish
  • Extensive experience with SAP and or Coupa systems and operating models. Experience in Coupa implementations and buying channel enablement and optimisation
  • Graduate or equivalent qualification and member of professional body, e.g., CIPS
  • Project Management, Continuous Improvement (e.g. Lean, 6 Sigma), Change Management. Procurement / Purchasing background ideal
  • At least 5-8 years relevant experience at the same or similar level
